Hawks long time ast equipment manager Clint Reif died today. A young man taken way to early, RIP Clint and T&P to Clint's wife and 4 young children. He was a friend of a friend and it hits really close to home.

Haven't said other than it was sudden. We haven't been able to reach our friends, guessing they are with Clint's wife. So sad.

Death is always tougher during a holiday time...it just keeps it fresh year after year...

You have to wonder how after landing at O'Hare, was he taking the equipment to the UC, and tending to it ?

32 yrs old dies and they don't say how????

Was he alone sharpening skates and got cut?

Falls asleep driving home?

heart attack?

Something seems not kosher that the instance isn't stated....like it was embarrassing.

I realize privacy and the intimacy of the moment, but family affair or not, no one would be questioning the demise if it was not so sudden, right?

I would expect that it hasn't been announced due to the suddenness of it all. The fact that it hasn't been made known isn't necessarily because it may have been embarrassing, because how is death embarrassing? They have no reason to state the cause, and if they do, they can do so when they please. They don't owe anyone the cause of death. FWIW, I would suspect it was physical, and not an accident, but my suspicions don't matter.

Coroner stated he was found unresponsive at home about 8:30 this morning. No other details.
